This totally stunning original Art Deco early 1900s solitaire engagement ring features a gorgeous plump Old Mine Cut Diamond to the centre in a classic claw and basket setting. Each shoulder is set with four Single Cut Diamonds leading to the dainty band.
Made in Platinum.
The central Old Mine Cut Diamond has a wonderful cushion shape and is a beautifully bright and clear Diamond with the softest hint of warmth of colour but facing up very white. These rare hand-cut antique Diamonds were cut for maximum Carat weight in a time before modern Diamond cutting machinery. They were also cut before Diamonds were graded on whiteness and were made to come alive by candlelight, having wider facets and a higher crown than modern stones. Old Cuts have their own unique charm which cannot be replicated in modern stones.
The central Diamond has a known weight of 2.04 Carat. K-L Colour and VS2 Clarity. No visible inclusions under 10x magnification and an incredibly lively and bright stone. The shoulder Diamonds total approximately 0.08 Carat.
The most romantic antique solitaire which would make the most incredible engagement ring.
